Yoga has been used for centuries as preventative healthcare for body, mind and spirit. Let Yoga’s healing, loving energy touch you! In a private session, my attention is devoted entirely to you and only you, to gently and compassionately help you release emotional and physical tension stored in the body. Sessions are safe, sacred and confidential, to allow you to open up in a supportive environment. We use breathing techniques, yoga poses, many assisted partner stretches, flowing movements, Meditation, Eastern Philosophy and relaxation. We complete sessions with a nurturing guided relaxation including assisted stretches and hands-on techniques to relax you more deeply. Every session is unique, depending on your needs. Together, we tailor a yoga routine for you and find ways to free you from tension and care for your well being. For some students, session is entirely physical. For others, the session may be a combination of meditation, discussion of philosophy as spiritual counseling, with meditation and visualization to assist healing. Yoga can be psychotherapeutic, but this is NOT a psychotherapy session. Eastern Philosophy and wisdom, including Zen Koans, are discussed to encourage self-study and growth. Some benefits:
Why come to Private Sessions:
How often? It varies person to person - generally, 6 to 12 sessions are recommended for optimum benefit. You should have a minimum of 3 to 6 sessions. I need to work with you so that I can get to know your body to tailor a personal routine for you. Some clients come consistently for regular standing appointments at regular intervals, to keep their body open and tension free with "regular maintenance." The more we work together, the more effective our session together will be! But the bottom line is, do what is right for you! If you want to try one session to see how it feels for you, sign up for just one. Do what feels right! Just know that the same day/time may not be available every week - my schedule gets booked pretty quickly.
What to Wear? Wear loose comfortable stretchy clothing (sweat pants or leggings) to enable you to move and be stretched comfortably with no restrictions. Feel free to bring a notebook and pencil to take any notes for your personal use, and bring any questions you may have.
Cost: Private Sessions are $90 for 90 min in my home studio in Stow. More if I travel to your location - Travel time is $40 per hour. FIRST SESSION IS ALWAYS $90 (and is usually 90 minutes or longer) Discounts for 90 minute Sessions Only: If you pre-schedule and pre-pay for 3 sessions, cost is 10% off. Six pre-scheduled and prepaid sessions are 15% off. All sessions must be used within 6 months. It is recommended that they are used one per week or one every two weeks, so that you can maintain a regular schedule and keep progressing with your sessions, rather than starting at square one after a long hiatus.
When? Elena normally schedules private sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Other times may be available, please ask.

That is all, and we will return your call as soon as we can and get more pertinent details at that time.
To complete before your visit: - we have a standard registration form to complete before your visit, so you can state any health concerns, and express what you would like from your sessions. To save time, we can mail you the Registration Form. Just let Sandy know when you schedule your appointment, and she can mail you a form via email, or snail mail. If you return your form before your session, Elena will be better able to prepare your session for your specific needs.
